Terms of Service

1. Introduction

TripBalance is a travel expense tracking application developed and maintained by an independent developer. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the TripBalance app, website, and related services. By creating an account, downloading the app, or using TripBalance, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You may use TripBalance only if you can form a binding agreement under applicable law. If you use TripBalance on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

3. Use of the App

You agree to:

• Use the app lawfully and only for its intended purpose
• Keep your account information accurate and up to date
• Not misuse, disrupt, probe, or interfere with the service or other users
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code except where permitted by law
• Not upload or share content that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or infringes another person's rights

4. Accounts

• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account
• You must keep your login credentials secure
• Information you provide must be accurate
• You are responsible for data you create, edit, or share in trips

5. Shared Data

TripBalance allows collaboration. Data you add may be visible to other participants in the same trip, including trip details, participants, expenses, balances, activity, and related updates. You should only invite people you trust to shared trips.

6. Payments & Subscriptions

TripBalance may offer auto-renewable subscriptions, including monthly and yearly Premium plans. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region.

• Subscriptions are billed by Apple through your Apple ID account
• Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies

We may change subscription features, pricing presentation, or plan availability in future versions of the app, subject to applicable law and App Store rules.

7. Intellectual Property

TripBalance, including the app, website, visual design, text, branding, and software, is owned by TripBalance or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you ownership of the app or any associated rights beyond the limited right to use the service in accordance with these Terms.

8. Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of TripBalance at any time, including features, integrations, or subscription offerings. We may also perform maintenance, security updates, or infrastructure changes that temporarily affect availability.

9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

TripBalance is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, complete accuracy of calculations, or that the app will be free of bugs or security incidents.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:

• Data loss
• Incorrect calculations
• Service interruptions
• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Losses arising from your sharing choices or unauthorized account access caused by your failure to secure credentials

10. Termination

You may stop using TripBalance at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users, or used the service unlawfully.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use of TripBalance after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
